Smooth and creamy; you likely won’t have tasted anything quite like wine ice cream. Made for Kingsley Grove Estate by Lick! Ice Cream using their wines, their four ice cream flavours are just the start of what will tantalise your tastebuds here.

Located just outside of Kingaroy, the South Burnett is considered the second-largest wine growing region in Queensland. Winemaker and general manager Simon Berry said the secret to South Burnett wines was finding which varieties grew best in the unique climate and soil types.

“Because we are in a warmer climate, Mediterranean varieties are the stars of the region. In white, varieties like verdelho do very well. We will sell out of our verdelho within six months every year,” Simon said.

“Among our reds, the one I am most passionate about is our sangiovese, which is Italy’s best known red grape variety.”

Kingsley Grove Estate is more than just a winery. They offer free on-site parking for self-contained caravans so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside and take an idyllic walk through the 25-acre vineyard. Their restaurant serves up local produce, wood-fired pizzas, cheese platters and desert in perfect pairing to their beautiful wines. They even host an annual grape stomp.

Their wines are also available to purchase anytime though their online store.
